Celtic Horse Goddess 11" x 14"
Celtic Horse Goddess 11" x 14"
This handcrafted linocut print celebrates the Celtic horse goddesses—Rhiannon, Macha, Epona, and Étaín—powerful figures of sovereignty, wild grace, feminine resilience, and deep kinship with the more-than-human world. These ancient myths speak to how sometimes the heart is asked to choose between two things it loves, and the heart breaks not because one is wrong, but because both matter. Rhiannon holds her sovereignty even when falsely accused; Macha carries the womb into the battlefield; Epona walks the threshold of life and death; and Étaín moves through countless rebirths, riding the winds of her own becoming. Each goddess shows how real power is not in escaping contradiction, but in meeting it fully—riding the tension between competing forces with courage. Together, they reveal that the sacred feminine is a sovereign rider of two galloping truths, guiding both even as they race in opposite directions, shaping a life fierce, whole, and wildly alive.
This design carries the spirit of two galloping truths—one horse-rider held between two blues, where what once seemed opposite softens, merges, and becomes a truer whole. This linocut is printed with a unique hand-mixed color gradient; each piece is one of a kind, with natural variations that make your print truly singular.
