Bear Spirit Woman 11" x 14"

$140.00

This handcrafted linocut print is inspired by Bear as a liminal being whose presence weaves deeply through folklore, myth, and the human psyche. Rooted in ancestral storytelling traditions from circumpolar lands to North America, Bear appears across cultures not as a symbol of fear, but as a guide through life’s great transitions — where endings and beginnings meet, and transformation unfolds. In the design, Bear stands at the edge between worlds, guardian and companion through the inner threshold of change where one stage of life dissolves into the next. Across ancient mythic landscapes — from an Arctic den to forested hills — Bear moves with patience and fierce tenderness, teaching us how to hold uncertainty, how to dwell with the ache of becoming, and how to weave the old and the new into a living thread of belonging.

Every carved detail and layered press of ink reflects Bear’s role not just as a creature of body and bone, but as a timeless figure of renewal, threshold wisdom, and psyche‑shaping myth. This print resonates with the regenerative rhythms of wild Earth, the enduring presence of mythic animals, and the invitation to walk with Bear through transition with courage and care. Whether you are drawn to bear mythology, threshold symbolism, mythic storytelling, nature‑based art, or sacred animal guides, this piece offers a symbolic lens through which the cycles of transformation — of descent, release, and emergence — can be seen not as rupture, but as renewal.
