Three Sisters Garden Linocut

$55.00

This is a handcrafted linocut print inspired by the Indigenous North American folktale of the Three Sisters: Corn, Beans and Squash—a heartwarming ancient story of interdependence, reciprocity, and ecological wisdom that nourishes our relationships as well as our bodies.

Rooted in agricultural practices shared by many Indigenous nations—from the Hopi of the Southwest to the Oneida and Haudenosaunee of the Northeast—the Three Sisters are traditionally planted together because they each support the other: corn provides structure for the beans to grow, beans restore nitrogen to the soil, and squash shades and protects the ground from drying out. This folktale honors a worldview in which difference is not competition but contribution—each sister distinct, each essential to the health of the whole. A handcrafted design for the home where the Three Sisters grow not just in legend but in life. . .in every meal, every season, and in sister-fed souls.
