A handmade linocut print inspired by the wild feminine—the instinctive, untamed part of ourselves that can become buried beneath the noise of everyday life. There is a place and a moment where the wildness of woman and wolf seem to echo one another, evoking our deep ancestral relationship with wolves and the timeless, enduring wild wisdom that still lives within us. In the old telling, Loba Woman or Wolf Woman, roams the desert Southwest, gathering scattered wolf bones, and sings them back to life until they run off howling with the voice of a woman. . . . I like to think she is piecing herself back together again.

INK: This is hand printed in Cranfield archival printmaking ink in two colors: Black and Midnight Blue. The Midnight Blue is hand mixed so please expect slight variations.

PAPERS: This design is hand printed on traditional handmade printmaking paper from Japan including: Hosho, Bunkoshi, Kitikata and Okawara. Please see the accompanying photos for a closer look at the unique qualities and differences between these papers.

CUSTOM ORDERS: If you would prefer this design printed with a different color not included in the photographs, or different paper (such as the Midnight Blue on Kitikata or Hosho) please request it in the note to seller. Custom prints take 7-10 days to hand print and dry before shipping.

PACKAGING: This print will be packed in a recycled clear bag and shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer. A one-page insert including a description of the folktale is included with the print.
