This traditionally handcrafted linocut print is for the wild-hearted woman who shares a life with an inner owl. Someone who has never quite forgotten the language of wings, wild instinct, and aerial wisdom. Inspired by Athena, the ancient Greek goddess and her owl companion, it evokes the timeless kinship between women and owls—wisdom, clairvoyance, intuition, and wild knowing. To have a companionship with an owl, is to have two sets of eyes, hold two ways of seeing at once: to notice what hides in plain sight, and to inherit twilight’s wisdom, when owls take wing at the threshold of shadow and light. HANDCRAFTED: Because every print is individually hand-carved, slight variations and natural carving marks are part of what makes each piece a distinctive work of handmade art. MATERIALS:

This handmade linocut design is printed with Caligo Safewash (non-toxic) Printmaking Ink in six colors. The colors are hand mixed so please expect slight variations. It is available on three professional-grade archival paper options:

• Traditional Handmade Hosho Paper from Japan — a beautiful, traditional Japanese printmaking paper with a distinctive character and texture;

• Strathmore Printmaking Paper from Massachusetts — a high-quality archival paper produced locally in Massachusetts;

• Arnhem 1618 Printmaking Paper - a high quality heavier weight archival paper from the Netherlands.

These papers are professional-grade, offering excellent quality and longevity. They are priced differently to reflect the sourcing and material costs of the papers. Please see the accompanying photos for a closer look at the unique qualities and differences.

PACKAGING: This print will be carefully rolled in Kraft paper, packed in a recycled clear bag and shipped in a recycled cylindrical tube. A one-page insert including a description of the folktale is included with the print.
