Selkie (Limited Edition Linocut)

$195.00

This Selkie-inspired linocut is carved and printed by hand in a small Limited Collector’s Edition of 40, available in two colorways: Black Pearl and Stormy Sea. Each impression carries the subtle variations and character that make original printmaking so special. Every print is individually signed and numbered.

Please feel free to reach out here, or email me at diemdangers@gmail.com if you have questions, or wish to see individual prints to choose from.

Selkie is a timeless enduring story from Irish, Scottish and Icelandic maritime folklore—a story of a seal woman whose pelt is stolen from her. Bound to a life not of her choosing, she lives in longing for the tide's call until she reclaims what was taken and returns to her ocean home.

At its heart, Selkie is a story about the ache of exile from one's true nature and the fierce grace required to find one's way back. It is a story of remembering, of reclaiming what has been forgotten, or stolen, and of answering the call of the soul.

This piece is for those enchanted by Selkie folklore, and the path of rewilding—for those who cherish sovereignty and recognize, deep in their bones, the enduring tension between the life shaped by circumstance and the life the soul remembers.
