Selkie Folklore Linocut
Selkie Folklore Linocut
This handcrafted linocut print is inspired by the ancient Selkie myth—from Irish, Scottish and Icelandic folklore about a seal-woman who loses her pelt to her lover, and how she finds it and reclaims herself again. Through grief, longing, and the shedding of old skins, Selkie’s journey speaks to anyone who has drifted far from their own true nature, or felt estranged from themselves. This timeless story reminds us that somewhere beyond grief, the wild sea opens her arms to welcome us home again.
